Understanding New Jersey Concussion Law

Dr. Robb Rehberg, PhD, ATC is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of Athletic Training Clinical Education in the Department of Kinesiology, College of Science and Health, at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey. Dr. Rehberg also works as an athletic trainer at the Center for Concussion Care and Physical Rehabilitation at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. Dr. Rehberg is a founding partner of The Rehberg Konin Group, and serves as Executive Director for Sport Safety International. He is the editor and primary author of Sports Emergency Care: A Team Approach, the first textbook ever written on the topic of the management of medical emergencies in sports. Dr. Rehberg is a former President of the Athletic Trainers’ Society of New Jersey, and currently serves as the Society’s Coordinator of Governmental Affairs. He currently serves on the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Foundation Board of Directors, and as Treasurer of the Eastern Athletic Trainers’ Association. He also serves on the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey’s Board of Trustees. Dr. Rehberg is a member of the Athletic Trainers’ Society of New Jersey Hall of Fame and the New Jersey State Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
